  • All appointments begin with a detailed inquiry form. This allows us to thoughtfully review your idea, placement, sizing and timing to ensure your project best aligns with he artist you chose. Once you submit the form, you’ll receive your next steps via email.

  • Your appointment will begin with a brief design consultation and placement review. Designs are typically refined the day of your appointment to ensure they flow naturally with your body. The environment is quiet, focused, and centered on comfort.

  • Each piece is custom and priced based on size, placement, detail, and time required. After your inquiry is reviewed, you’ll receive a clear estimate or minimum. Pricing is specific to each artist, reflecting experience, technique, and the intention to create art that ages timelessly.

  • Deposits are accepted through Venmo or a Square Invoice.

Final payments may be made with Venmo, Invoice, or ash. A mandatory 3% processing fee applies to all Venmo and credit card payments. Cash payments are not subject to this fee.

Time is set aside at the beginning of each session to discuss changes with your artist, and to thoughtfully refine and adjust placement.

  • While some of our artists may take on self-designed projects, most of our artists prefer to do only original work. this means they will use your design for inspiration and guidance, but remake it i their own original style.

    We do not tattoo:

    • AI Generated images

    • Pintrest designs

  • A tattoo “minimum” is the base price required to book any tattoo, regardless of size. It covers essential costs such as setup, sterile single-use supplies, artist time, and professional expertise. Even small or simple tattoos require the same preparation and safety standards as larger pieces, which is why a minimum exists.

Our studio minimum $200, but artists often set their own.

Aftercare and Healing

  • At the end of your session you will receive a detailed aftercare pamphlet to guide you through the healing process.

Please keep your tattoo clean, lightly moisturized 2-3 times daily, and try to wear loose clothing while healing.

  • We are partnered with Mad Rabbit to deliver the highest quality Tattoo Aftercare products directly to you! We will provide you with samples of their Tattoo Soothing Gel, a light , gentle and fgragerence free moisturized designed specifically for healing tattoos.

We also offer their entire line of products in-house!

  • The initial healing of your tattoo will take 2-3 weeks, with deeper layers continuing to settle over several months.

Fine-Line in particular tends to lighten up a lot during the healing process. All of our resident artists offer 1 complimentary touch-up, but we always encourage collectors to wait 6-8 weeks to allow them to darken back up and settle completely before adding more pigment.

  • Tattoos should be fully healed and settled before any touch-ups are done, typically 6–8 weeks. This allows the skin to settle, reveal how the ink has healed, and ensures it’s safe to rework. Adding pigment to soon compromise healing and final results, especially in fine line tattoos where precision and skin recovery are key.

Tattoo Specific Questions

  • Tattooing places ink into the dermis, the layer of skin beneath the surface, using a sterile tattoo machine and single-use needles. After the design and placement are finalized, the skin is cleaned and a stencil is applied as a guide.

The machine then deposits ink at a controlled depth so the tattoo heals clean and permanent. Once finished, the tattoo is cleaned, bandaged, and aftercare instructions are provided to support proper healing.

  • Tattoo healing varies based on several factors, including skin type, placement, technique, and aftercare. Proper needle depth and consistent application allow the skin to heal evenly, while areas with more movement or friction may take longer to settle.

Following aftercare instructions, avoiding sun exposure, and allowing the skin adequate time to rest all play a key role in how well a tattoo heals and how it looks long term.

  • Tattooing has been practiced for thousands of years across cultures worldwide. The earliest known example is Ötzi the Iceman, a mummy discovered in a peat bog with tattoos dating back over 5,000 years!

Tattooing has also been found in ancient Egyptian and Polynesian societies, where tattooing developed into a deeply refined art tied to lineage and identity. Traditions also existed in ancient Japan, throughout Africa, Indonesia, and among Indigenous cultures of the Americas.

Each culture used tattooing as a form of expression, storytelling, and right of passage.

  • Tattoo ink is made of two main components: pigments and carrier solution.

Pigments: Pigments provide the color and can be mineral-based, organic, or synthetic.

Carrier Solution: Often a mix of purified water, alcohols, or glycerin—keeps the pigment evenly suspended, sterile, and easy to implant into the skin.

Professional inks are specifically formulated for tattooing to ensure consistency, stability, and proper healing when used correctly.

All of our Inks are Vegan, and REACH Compliant.

  • Tattoo pricing reflects the level of skill, time, and precision required to do the work properly. It accounts for the artist’s experience, custom design time, high-quality materials, and strict cleanliness standards.

Styles like fine line often require slower, more meticulous application to ensure clean, lasting results. Larger, more detailed pieces and complex placements also demand more technical and physical investment. A tattoo is permanent, and the cost reflects the care and expertise behind it.

  • Some areas of the body heal more predictably and hold ink better, while others can be more challenging.

Best areas: Typically fleshier or less exposed to friction, like the upper arm, thigh, or calf. These spots experience less stretching, rubbing, and sun exposure, which helps the tattoo heal evenly and retain color.

Challenging areas: Hands, fingers, feet, ribs, and joints. Skin in these spots is thinner, moves frequently, or is exposed to more wear and friction, which can cause fading, patchiness, or longer healing times. While tattoos in these areas can look amazing, they often require touch-ups and careful aftercare to maintain their quality.
